A woman in her 20s has been found guilty of killing a man in a manicure lane in New Jersey.
The jury deliberated for less than two hours Friday before finding 21-year-old Stephanie McCourt guilty of murder in the fatal stabbing of Thomas Gresham on Sept. 22, 2015.
Gresham, a construction worker, was stabbed to death while walking home from a nightclub in New Brunswick.
The incident was captured on cellphone video and caught the attention of the world, where it was shared widely on social media.
A police officer saw McCourt walking down a sidewalk near the victim’s body and told her to stop.
She then walked to a red manicurist lane in the area and stabbed Gresman.
The video of the incident went viral on the Internet and the suspect was eventually caught and sentenced to life in prison without parole.
