When Melania Trump and her daughter Ivanka Trump were in high school, they didn’t know the word “transgender.”
But they soon discovered that there are more than 100.
The couple is now the latest American family to make transgender news, joining a growing number of American families who are coming out.
“I’m not a ‘transgender’ person, but I do have some dysphoria with my body,” Ivanka Trump said in an interview with Esquire magazine.
“And the dysphoria, you know, I feel like, it’s a kind of dysphoria.
It’s not something that I’m born with.
It comes from the outside.
And I feel I have a kind, I think, of dysphoric body.
And it’s something that you can deal with, you can learn from, and you can work with.”
In 2016, Melania Trump was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom for her “extraordinary humanitarian efforts” in fighting the Zika virus.
This year, her husband, Jared Kushner, received the Presidential Gold Medal for his “extraordinarily charitable and humanitarian work in combating global poverty and promoting sustainable development.”
The couple has also been active on social media, as well as in public speaking, giving talks at colleges, and speaking at religious institutions.
Their public profile, which has soared in the wake of the Orlando shooting, has grown with each passing year.
In 2017, Trump and Ivanka spoke at the annual dinner of the National Organization for Marriage.
They also gave a speech to the United Nations, which drew nearly 100 countries, including China and Russia, to Washington D.C.
In 2018, Trump’s husband announced that they had decided to have a child, but she later changed her mind and said she had to make a decision.
Ivanka told Esquire in 2017 that she was having a “real struggle with this.”
“I think the decision to have kids is hard, and it’s very hard to make the right choice,” she said.
“I don’t want to hurt anyone, but we don’t know how long that’s going to last.
It depends on the person.
There are some things we do know.
It is hard for a lot of people, and for me, it has been hard.”
A transgender woman named Jennifer has been married for 16 years, but her transition has been very difficult.
Jennifer said she feels “pretty alone.”
Jennifer has a mixed family history, and her father has a history of mental illness, and she said she often feels lonely, and sometimes afraid.
She said she has also had a difficult time getting medical treatment, because there are only a handful of doctors in the area who specialize in transgender people.
“It’s a really tough life,” she told Esquires.
“It’s kind of hard to find somebody who’s going through it with you.”
The White House said in a statement that it is “deeply saddened” by the news of the couple’s transition.
“We are thankful that Melania and Ivanka are so much more than the women they have become and the women we know they are,” the statement read.
“
That the couple is living out their full potential as parents of two beautiful, amazing, wonderful daughters is something we are proud of.”
